Platform9 Managed Bare Metal requires a dedicated network for bare metal server life cycle management. This network is configured during the initial configuration of the bare metal management plane and is referenced throughout as the Provisioning network. The provisioning network is the only communication channel between the Bare Metal Controller and the bare metal nodes under management.
Lifecycle Actions Utilizing Provisioning Network
All lifecycle actions are communicated via the provisioning network from the Controller machine to each bare metal server, including:
