Bare Metal Server OS Requirements
In order to automate bare metal servers using PMB, and integrate the deployed servers to PMO or PMK, make sure there is a supported OS deployed on the bare metal servers. The supported OS list is outlined below.
- CentOS 7+ (64-bit)
- RHEL 7+ (64-bit)
- Ubuntu LTS 16.04 (64-bit)
- Ubuntu LTS 18.04 (64-bit)
Connecting to PMO or PMK
The cloud-init script can be used to set up networking correctly and establish a connection with your PMO or PMK management plane. Once correctly configured, the bare metal instances should appear as available nodes in your infrastructure on the SaaS management plane.
